Family Ecology Theory

There are numerous theories in the world today that seek to describe the way humans interact. Interactions are with various things and for different reasons. A lot of studies and research is carried out to gather the relevant and most correct information that explains clearly why human beings interact the way they do. Family Ecology Theory is one of the theories that seek to explain the behavioral interaction of people with the environment. It is one of the oldest theories. It was created long ago and since then, a lot of changes have taken place. The theory is thus reviewed with time after rigorous and intensive research. This is to ensure that the correct information is given basing on the facts that and the changes that happen with time.

Explanation of the Environment

The greatest aspects of human life are influenced by the environment that they live in. Family Ecology Theory seeks to explain how the natural and created environments impact to the lives of the humans. As humans live and with the advancement of the technology, they develop and discover new ways that change the environment that they live in. This affects the way humans interact with other humans and with the environment at large. As the environment changes, human beings change too. This enables them to relate amicably with the environment and other beings. The social setting also change and impacts differently on how the environment and humans relate.

Family as a setup of Relationships and Interactions

Families are bound together by interactions and relationships. These interactions are governed by boundaries that have to be observed for there to be a peaceful cohabitation. Apart from the boundaries, each member of the family has an obligation to fulfill. These are referred to as inputs. Inputs result to actions. How much you input and the actions that you take dictate the outcome. The outputs include the possession that comes to be owned by families after inputs and some time. Output can also be viewed the services that you get and are paid for. The other important relationship is between humans and nature. Some actions may be in a way that they affect the environment. For instance waste production. These are the unwanted output that is as a result of some human activities. Family Ecology Theory advocates for autonomy and independence on how we relate to the environment. Decisions that we make determine our actions and hence the outputs. It is thus important to be keen on what we input to the system as it may in future affect us directly.
