...a superhero to her six-year-old,
reporting good deeds and interesting subjects
by Elizabeth A. Leib
In 2007 I created MitzvahMom to serve as the online moniker for my personal blog, writing about our family life and the particular challenges of parenting. I used the blog as an opportunity to explore a wide variety of topics, writing styles and to sharpen my online skills. My blog post about the North Tampa coffee house Cafe Kili has been accepted for publication by Southern Living magazine for the June 2008 issue.
In 2008 I was encouraged by Tampa Digital Studios to expand the vision for MitzvahMom to include video webcasting. To share what I'm learning with others about using new technology to understand the online lives of kids I've begun a MitzvahMom video website. Each segment will offer ideas and resources for engaging with kids in the vast "wild wild west" of the wired world.
